Moon Soaps?

Morning fellas.

I've had my eye on moon soaps for a while now, I'm close to pulling the trigger on three of their soaps. Old school. Havana. And a new one that comes to us in the coming weeks, tobacco flower.

I need some advice because I like my scents to be strong and worth while for me to buy them, I've done some research on here and have found a few of the guys saying they're not the most pungent.

If this is the case, then would barrister and mann, noble otter or any other brand be worth looking into. I'm a huge Stirling fan and have most of their strongest scents.

Many respects. J.

Watching this thread as i'm eager to hear opinion on the scent strength on moon soaps as well. Seems like there are a few saying they are very faint. And I like you enjoy the mid to strong scent strengths

Can't speak to the soaps, but I have the Amaretto post shave balm, and at least the initial scent is pretty strong for a balm. I can never tell how long balm scents last just because my nose adjusts pretty quickly.

I have their Sorrento soap and to be honest the scent is very mild compared to B&M and Noble Otter. On the plus side the soap itself is fantastic to use, I get really slick lathers using it.

I have the Union and Sorrento and the Union in particular is very mildly scented. Not sure about the new tabacco flower soap but previously the Amaretto was the strongest scent wise.

I’ve tried Old School and Sorrento and the scent strength was very poor. I would have said ’unscented’. Performance was very good but I wouldn’t entertain buying another.

Starting to gather a picture here then. Great performing soaps? But the lesser of two evils is the scents? I posted my shave of the day earlier and I sway more towards heavy dark and dense fragrances. My goal was too but three moon soaps next month, however I’m gonna have to look elsewhere now? Any ideas on tobacco or dark scents mate?

*UPDATE* I’ve been browsing slick boys. Southern witchcraft soaps have added a ton of their Halloween line I believe from the names and art on the soaps. Possibly a delay because of the time of shipping it has took to get to the uk? *Who knows*. They are jumping out at me. Pomona, Samhain, and autumn ash possibly necromantic. Any of you had an experience with witchcraft soaps? Many respects. J.

Only Samhain is their Halloween line I think. They're all based on horror type stuff all year around. They're awesome soaps, fantastic base and decent scent strength

Got you, I’ve always been a huge fanboy of Stirling and I would say 75% of my line up consists of their scents and splashes. So I’m trying to venture out and explore and experiment with different brands. Many respects. J.

Tobacco and dark scents are not my forte, sorry. Declaration Grooming Massacre of the innocents is based on Parfumes de Marly Herod which is a really nice tobacco scent.

As for Southern Witchcraft. Tread carefully. I’ve never tried anything from them but I’ve heard their scents can be “polarising”.
