I prefer the finish of the 34 Inox, but prefer the fact that the GOAT is a three-piece.

Merkur 34 offers a two piece in 316L razor, and the RazoRock Goat doesn’t is a huge difference for wet shaves.

Production methods are different as well: MIM for the Inox, CNC for the Goat.

Have always been intreagued by all the love for the HD34, but ended up getting the beautiful 20c with spiral handle instead, which AFAIK has exactly the same Merkur standard head.

The Alox razors do look very nice indeed tho .... Have always been a fan of the Alox SAK's

Fyi, I sent a website enquiry to Merkur CS and they confirmed the brass and chrome knobs will only fit the short handled Progress 500c
