London advice

So after 3 failed (cancelled) bookings to go to the USA, I find myself in London for a few days.

I have some bits I want to pickup from DR Harris, but is there anywhere else I should go visit (shaving related)?

cheers

I would go to Trumpers

Basically behind Fortnum and Mason which is worth a visit if you haven't been before, over the road from F and M is Burlington Arcade, again worth a look.

TOBS on Jermyn Street at the bottom end of the Burlington Arcade. GFT on Curzon Street. These are my “must visit” shaving shops when I’m in London, in addition to Harris on Piccadilly.

I wouldn't call it a 'must visit'. The Muhle shop in the Carnaby Street area is nice if you're more into hardware though

Thanks for the advice folks - I can now leave the good lady for a while (I may have to take the credit card with me though) and see what I can find from the above recommendations.

I am not sure if this is possible but could you describe your walk around and what you saw?

Cabin fever is becoming the norm and I cannot tell you how much I used to enjoy walking around the posh bits of London,

I’ll be happy to give you a brief description of the 4 stops on my tour - but not tonight. Tonight I’m going to see Wicked (or whatever it’s called). I’m sure it’s punishment for today but apparently I’ll enjoy it!

@R181 great video. Makes me long to get back to London soon; it’s been 3 years since we last visited. I’m not surprised that GFT wouldn’t let him video. My wife and I have always found GFT to be the least welcoming shop: they are very stiff and formal. I call them TNT, Toffee Nosed Tits, and my wife agrees and she is from Southampton.

Been many years since I was in London last but I did manage to make my way to Holland and Holland. Was treated very nicely by the staff there so no complaints. Never bought anything just drooled. Next time I will do the shaving tour.
