Lemon Thayers Witch Hazel

I've been meaning to ask folk about this for a while but those of you who have the lemon variant or any other for that matter , do you smell a detergent type smell and find it is quite bubbly as well? It is also the only scent that has nipped my skin post shave. Just wondered if anyone else had a similar experience?

(Rose) bubbly yes, but quickly settles. No detergent what so ever. Not even medicinal, just garden rose.

I have Cucumber and an unscented one that I have added some essential oils to but none have the thicker almost oily consistency of the lemon that I have.

I use the Lemon all the time, refreshing scent and nice on the skin, no nippage at all.

A great YMMV example - my face is pretty tolerant of stuff but the Humphrey's WH is one of the few products that makes it break out.
Must be something in it that just doesn't agree with me.

I only use Humphreys, fantastic stuff for me. Apparently Dickinsons is exactly the same but for the sake of a couple of ££ I've not bothered trying it.

I've tried the original alcohol free aloe and the new packaged rose. Both burned me and I didn't like the greasy slick feel it left on my skin. Just a cold water splash works for me. No alum cause that burned too! Wait 20 mins for skin to settle down and dab of moisturiser where needed. Then I'm gorgeous again!
