Lather struggles

This will sound blasphemous but try not soaking your brush if that is what you have been doing. Instead just skim the tips of the brush along the water in your sink. Give the brush a slight shake over the puck and begin to load the soap. Go back and repeat the process a few times. You are trying to get a paste of soap into the brush. Once you think you have enough soap loaded go to your lather bowl or face to make the lather you will actually use by adding a bit of water as you go till you get a good lather. I add water by skimming the tips as before when loading. Doing it this way I usually have enough soap loaded to get me through my usual 4 pass shave.

How could you say that haha. Yes at the moment I do soak the brush them squeeze and shake the excess out. I will be sure to try your way next time though, thank you for your advice.

I am one of the individuals who uses a wet brush - but not dripping with water. I dip my brush in water and let it sit there for a few seconds. Then I gave the brush one or two shakes and load it with soap. If I don't have enough soap on the brush I go back and load it with more soap. I find that not working the lather long enough results in a mediocre lather.
