As some say the devil never sleeps. Just a week or two ago, i sighed about not being able to use square tipped straights. And the i find this, for some ~$8, NOS.
13/16, North Korean made. No.1 in a series. All i know about these razors is that they can take a good edge and shave well, but also that the steel is a bit harder than standard.
A bit of buffing took out the minimal black spots. It's off to my honemeister these days.

If something nice surfaces on the ads site i'm following, i'll let you know. There are some korean kittens on the 'bay but at a way higher price than mine, and some russkies as well, also at $30+ rates, but if something good comes up locally, i think we can arrange something. Better chance with the russians to be found in Serbia, though.

I have a grind issue with this one as well...
The edge length is 70.8mm. From that length, some 38.5mm of the edge lenght doesn't touch the surface on the left side, from the tip toward the heel, and some 40mm edge length doesn't touch the surface from the heel toward the tip.
I wildly guess it wasn't grinded well at all.
My question is, can this be solved with rolling X-strokes, or does it need grinding work?

You could always try the rolling X strokes and if not satisfied proceed to grinding. Nothing venture, nothing gained.

It took almost two years to get where i am now, because i had other priorities, i.e. learning to properly hone razors, so i worked with it bit by bit, when i could manage the time.
Nothing helped to hone this one properly, not rolling x strokes, half strokes, nothing. So as my last effort, i decided to use a dremel-type tool and take off the parts of the blade that didn’t touch the stone no matter what i did. Now to set the bevel.

Just a little update, the first shave was great, although i had to do a Micro-bevel with the 12k stone, up to that it only shaved at skin level, couldn't pass the HHT.
