So it's been an age since I asked about the white rice sized spots in my shaving soap and I finally have the time to get back here because I hate leaving things unfinished.
In answer to my own question it's Stearic Acid
That solidifies, nothing to worry about.
If it bothers you then you have to very slowly heat the soap, stirring often until it melts back into it's liquid form. It's important to take your time and not over heat the soap.
I found the answer on another forum that had been asked before.
Mine now looks great again.

The moment these "white rices" touch hot water (blooming), they disappear.

I finally had time today to play around with the chest that the wife brought me for Christmas to store my razors inside.

You would think it was easy but then you realise you are faced with the dilemma of how you want to organise the collection.
Do I sort DE then go SE, etc or do I go with new razors then Vintage? or do I go with brand names? Your getting the idea right.
Well I am still not sure so I have gone with just doing my Blackland collection of razors just to get me started and that's the two largest drawers sorted and I think I am going to need another box ha ha.

When the wife gets her new 3D printer, I will look into seeing if she can print me the drawer cut outs as I would prefer all my base plates to lay flat and it takes an age to cut all the blooming foam to shape.
At least I have made a start and I'm pleased with how it's going.
Have an amazing day everyone.
Laters taters.

Tonight's shave was with the Tatara Amakuni SE razor.
I have to confess when I first saw the pictures of it, I was not blown away and add to that the fact it uses magnets, I was probably it's biggest critic.
If you had asked me if I was going to buy one I would have laughed with a noooo chance.
Yet here it is and it was in my hands so fast, I ended up being one of the first thing own and review it it, go figure ha ha.
So what happened you may ask?
Well it was purely down to the fact I was lucky enough to purchase it unused from a fantastic forum member and overall great guy who was selling it for a steal and me being me and never lets an opportunity pass me by, I bagged it.
You can say many things about me but I am a man that can admit when he's wrong and this razor definitely proved me wrong.
It's a hundred times better looking in the hand and shaves like an absolute dream.
Consider humble pie well and truly eaten ha ha.
Tatara did a terrific job with their first SE and anyone that buys one I am sure is not going to be disappointed.
Well that's me done for the night and I just wanted to get that off my chest.
Toodles folks.

This is a post especially for @Okku who asked if I could post my Blackland collection, I didn't realise I even had one but now I am looking at it perhaps he is correct.
I could just post some photo's and leave it at that but they don't really tell the whole story and as I don't have much to do right now why not show what I have and talk through them as I would anyone looking around my Den.
to kick off lets start with this fella the Razorock Hawk, that I have with the complete set of plates.
20260711_141957.jpg

Why? well this is how it all started, I remember being totally blown away by this razor and it led me to make a post with the heading does it get any better? the shaves it gave really were eye opening and I just wanted to see if I had found my GOAT or not.
in the post others offered some suggestions and the Blackland Vector was one of them and that's where it all began.
I was offered one after showing interest in that post and I swiftly brought it, man I was not loving the Vector at all as my old posts show, I thought I was shaving with a thin pencil and couldn't get the results close to the Hawk.
I went off to see if I was doing anything wrong and on the Blackland website Shane suggests to use nothing else other than the Vector and one make of blade for 30 days to dial it in.
bugger it, I will do the 30 days challenge because man I love a challenge and if it did not work it would be sold off, on day 14 of the challenge it just clicked and everything changed it became an amazing razor and it is still an equal favourite AC with the La Faulx.
A couple of months later I thought hey if the SE is this good I wonder what Blacklands DE offering were like? and down the rabbit hole I fell ha ha.

Here is my Blackbird set of razors.
20260711_142306.jpg

Here we have from left to right, the Titanium Blackbird complete set, the BrassBird complete set and the AlumBird it's a special edition workshop item and did not come with any extras.
Then we have my other Blackland models.
20260711_142729.jpg

Left to right we have the Era it's the only 3D printed razor made for the market I believe, the Titanium Osprey the photo does not do it justice and it's a marvel of engineering, the Blackland Tradere a copy of the original Tradere razor and the Blackland Dart it was a very cheap offering from Blackland and it shaved as good as if not better than the much more expensive offerings Blackland had at the time.

20260711_143132.jpg

Left to right we have Batch 002 the Rectangle, the Blackland Sabre V2 another marvel of engineering and the Blackland SS Vector complete set.
Lastly some accessories.
20260711_141818.jpg

Left to right we have the Shaving towel, I have 6 of these, ok ok I even have the T-shirt well 4 of them and the Blackland travel pouch to keep your razor safe when traveling.
Lastly we have my ATT razors from a company that Blackland owns so technically they are part of the Balckland family and I am sure they are made at the same place.
20260711_143458.jpg

On the left we have the ATT S1 Slant mirror polished the complete set and the ATT Windsor mirror polished the complete set both in SS.
That's everything and if you have any questions fire away and have an amazing day.
