Early evening today (Asia time) I contacted DSCosmetic through their TaoBao store.

I asked if he could set the loft higher than normal on one of these CN6 grade ones.

This madness governing most makers over the last few years to have ultra-dense and with short loft knots is not for everyone.

I was told that 53-54mm loft is optimum for these and also that the 56-57mm loft I was asking (26mm dia.) would make the brush too floppy. I replied back that I do not like lofts below 55mm. He counter-offered to set it at 56mm and ship it tomorrow morning with SF (i.e. expedited).

I paid (¥188, equivalent to 20 Pounds Sterling) so let us now see next week how this feels and performs.

So probably a knot similar to STF from Muhle?
