I just spotted this on AliExpress. Is there some sort of catch which will empty my bank account for me that I‘m not seeing?

It's AliExpress. I've ordered from there and not had my account emptied, but it's a bit like Wish, rather a crapshoot as to whether what turns up is what you expected.

I agree. Quite an interesting one isn't it?
I am wondering what the catch is or if it is a genuine clearance or trying to get their shop known? Or perhaps hoping people don't claim back if it IS synthetic?
Often the reviews are quite interesting, especially as they are auto translated.
One person states it is synthetic. However, the pictures show wiggly hair. Would that not suggest badger as opposed to synthetic?
I reckon you could claim your 8p back if it IS synthetic. I can't find anything saying it isn't?

It seems pretty small to me, am I right?
I have a handle with a 26mm hole. Would one pack it out?
I am thinking 19mm is pretty narrow compared to what I have.
Although, 60mm (ish ) would be a reasonable length wouldn't it? (I am assuming that includes the base in that)
Would it just sit in the cupboard forever unused?

I didn't say "don't buy", i said only what's written i my post. There are several other sellers that have this kind of knot in stock, some have more reviews, some even images in reviews. Most have either bad imagaes of the product, and a lot of them use the exact same images.
All from the links below are even cheaper than the one in the OP. And i found all of these in less time than it took me to write this post.

I imagine it is a bit of a coin toss as to how good it is. Which is part of the fun.

I am reminded of the razor we all tried for cheap. It arrived completely different to what was advertised.
Was it a merkur clone? I can't recall.

I didn't find your post in a negative context at all, i just wanted to explain myself in more detail, that is all. I live in Serbia with a budget where every penny counts and everyone is doing the best they can to get the most for what is invested. So, it's something like a habit to thoroughly check every "too good to be true" oportunity to the last single detail...

Although, these days, I am lucky enough to consider every tenner a considered purchase.
I also don't like waste.
So, unless I feel like I will use this I will not buy it just cos it is cheap.

I can save everyone. Just get an Atomic Rocket brush. It’s not everything, but it makes lots of lather with minimal soap and feels great and easy to wash.

I have two handles prepared for knots and made my choice among Boti synths. I think they are the best bang for the money at the time, alongside Oumo and DScosmetics, but the latter two have a lot less of a variety in small diameter knots.
