Alright guys might be a bit of a silly question but i’m struggling a bit.
How do you guys clean your injectors ?
I was changing a blade on mine tonight and noticed it was dirty inside.
This razor has been thoroughly cleaned & sanitised. twice.
Is there a way of taking the blade out after a shave ?
And any ideas on cleaning properly would be good
Thanks
Mike

Two of my vintage Schick models open to remove the blade or clean. The design was meant to clean the razor when changing the blade. One idea would be to soak the head part in a solution of hot water and Dawn or similar dishwashing soap. This might loosed debris so when you install and new blade, more grime would be removed. I would be careful not to stress the spring so that the clamping would be compromised. I often use a toothbrush as well.

Schick referred to their lever action opener mechanism as Hydro-Magic.

I cleaned all my injector razors using this method: 1) First, wash them thoroughly with a soft toothbrush, hot water, and soap. 2) Using a folded piece of cotton thread with soap on it, I clean between the blades. 3) I insert toothpicks and soak razor in a solution of purified water and a denture cleaning tablet. 4) Then I wash everything thoroughly again with a soft toothbrush, soap, and hot water. I also clean between the blades with dental floss. 5) I soak razor in a disinfectant solution according to the instructions. If the razor requires sanding or mechanical treatment, I do this before disinfecting. After each shave, I remove the blade, wash the razor with a soft toothbrush, and dry it well. If I don't use the razor for a long time, I treat it with medical alcohol before shaving.
