The rules to being an uncle are pretty easy.

• You can be controversial - the more so the better.
• Whatever their parents refuse to buy for them - you provide.
• Their parents say they must go to bed - you say, 'let them stay up a little longer'.
• Shower them with the kind of presents that their parents disallow.
• When you visit, bring lots of high sugar sweets.

As I said, it's very easy.
