Just finished this. Enjoyed it very much. A new detective character called Stilwell to fit with the Bosch/Haller and Ballard novels. The third novel is in the works now. It's begging for a TV show like the rest.

I'm going to stop reading these Michael Connelly books for now. They're very addictive and it's easy to overdo it with them. This was very enjoyable.

Not sure if it was the idea of going back to crime fiction for me or the title The Waiting but I am back to hospital in the next two weeks and one thing I found last time iI was in there was that you spend 95% of the hours waiting peacefully and 5% being tortured, a good hardback crime novel will work wonders for the former and a self defence shield for the latter.

I find the pace in these picks up and drops off at times. Sometimes it can be painful and nothing happens and then she's killing folk left right and centre. She's amongst my favourite authors though for sure Steve.

Another Marston novel. Very easy to read. Enjoyed it.

Just finished Dominion by C J Sansom. Very different from his Shardlake books, it’s an alternative history set in an early 1950s UK, where a peace was negotiated with the Nazis but Germany, virtually took over the country.

It’s as complex as his stories usually are and quite heavy going at times but I would still recommend it.
