How quickly does your stubble grow back after a BBS?

Less than 3-4 hours. I swear my hair grows more than 1mm per 24 hours during the summer. Shame it’s white...

I would say my beard grows back to a point where I need to shave within 24 hours. I suppose I could go as much as 36 hours at times but no more than that.

I never shave bbs as I don't see the point, I have sensitive skin and always have a 5oclock shadow. But on the odd occasion I have, i have stubble in 2-3 hours

Two passes and I’m done regardless of quality of shave. I’m not making myself sore chasing BBS. I can always shave again in two days. Feeling stubble and seeing it are two different things

The use of the word "grain" is bothering me. The direction of growth is referred to as grain, but I can find no definition that associates the word with stubble, or beard. Is there a Greek or Latin connection?

I'm not sure. I have seen it many times been used, even here "Against the grain". So I used it.

I’m very olive skinned and my beard stubble is heavy as well as black. It returns I would say in around 4 hours or so. My brother-in-law and father-in-law are the same way and my wife calls us “les barbes vertes” which is French for “the green beards” because of our colouring and our heavy, dark beard growth.
