Hi everyone!
New member here from Cardiff.
Came here via shavingroom, and see many of the guys from there that are also here.

New to DE. I've been at it less than a month,(i am in my early 50s) I've got a Henson AL13++ and a Rockwell 6s.
The rockwell seems better to me at the moment.Smoother and no irritaion, that being said I've got my L plates on for DE!

It’s not too late mate to get out of the rabbit hole you still have your hands on the rim
Once you slide down, there’s no getting out
I’m sure you already have watched videos on YouTube.
There’s plenty of how to videos for beginners.
And don’t get caught up too much in the hype around certain razors
Stick with what you have until you’re happy with your technique. Also make sure you’re using sharp blades.

There’s plenty of info on what’s good and what’s bad in that area as well
My tip on DE blades is start off with good sharp blades. Try to avoid the dull blades and there’s plenty of those around. You should get plenty of advice here on the whole thing. Enjoy your shaving mate.

Love the User name and the avatar, My Mum's fav singer of all time. I can still hear 'Rubber Ball' and 'Take Good Care Of My Baby' playing when I'm at her place. I'm new to the Forum as well. Fan of the Rockwell too.

Hello there @BobbyVee to ATG.
My wife and I visited Cardiff, summer of 2019. The best meal we ate in UK was in a small Mediterranean style restaurant on a side street off the main drag. It was outrageously delicious, and the Guinness was especially tasty! A highlight was visiting an old castle and grounds that iirc were located in the middle of the city. Great history! I remember red dragons everywhere (from the flag, perhaps?). I also remember seeing at least a half dozen or more large cartoon-like sculptures of a boy with wavy orangey hair all over the city. Are they still there? We strolled past Her Majesty’s summer home, which was surrounded by a dark, uninviting, menacing looking 12 foot stone wall, but couldn’t see anything beyond that. My impression was that could explain why the royal family doesn‘t seem to smile too often.
