I'm pretty sure this is exactly the story for all of us!!!I have to admit my spending has in fact increased, however I now own products I value and cherish.

Welcome from East Texas! I've been to Bath, toured the Roman baths too. I vote you go down the Vintage Razor route...if we are voting. Just work your way down from the Tech's to the Gillette 102...or even the 100(Double Ring) if you are into DE's. If you are really brave, and in a SE kind of mood, GEM's, Valet's, and Ever-Ready's might just be your thing. And then there are the Schick injector razors, which exist somewhere in between and might not quite get enough love.Just got into DE shaving a few months ago initially drawn by the opportunity to reduce plastic waste and save money.
It's quickly turned into a hobby.

I have to admit my spending has in fact increased, I'm shocked.
I had wondered about vintage but had no idea where to start. Thanks for the advice. Just finding the blades I like for my Merkur 33C at the moment.Welcome from East Texas! P.How different is the 34 from the 33? Is there any difference with the blade gap or blade angle? The other question is related to interest in the TTO type and/or the 3-piece type; do you have a preference?I had wondered about vintage but had no idea where to start. Thanks for the advice.
