Haven’t posted in a while

Due to my wife’s health issues I haven’t posted in some time. She is getting better now but, progress is slow. Being in our 70’s everything is slow. Also we are moving to another home soon. BTW…..it is not a nursing home! Getting stuff ready to move is a nightmare. Amazing how much crap you accumulate over the years. I’m letting go of lots of things but, wife want to keep everything she can. I wouldn’t be upset if a tornado came through and blew it all away. Anyway, back to packing and I’ll post pictures of the new house when we get settled.

Good to see you back, any health issue that passes is good, all the best to Mrs. Xring3!

I agree with the accumulated crap, I wish a jet would crash here and vaporize everything, then I could sue them to pay for it. :D

My wife is the get rid of everything type personality. Last time we moved she made me downsize my book collection.

Ended up dropping off my first edition 32 volume (33? Can't remember) set of the complete works of Mark Twain at the local charity shop, along with a bunch of other books. Waited a few weeks then told her how much they were worth.

She now asks if things are worth anything before she makes me toss it. The look on her face when I told her she made me toss $4,000 worth of books almost made up for the pain of losing them.

Edit: I did try to tell her before I tossed them. She was in a 'mood' and wasn't willing to discuss it.

Tell her it makes more sense to git rid of her and all of her stuff.

I understand about spousal health issues.
You seem resilient.
Day by day, hour by hour.
Make good memories in your new home✌🖖

Does she have a sister?
Aye. She's a triplet, actually. Has a twin sister and a brother. The sister is married, oddly enough, to one of my childhood friends that I lost contact with after my teenage years. We all live together on the same farm. It's an odd arrangement, but it works.

Edit: my wife is the better cook, her sister, the better baker.

Welcome back, I'm so pleased your wife is getting better.
Good luck with your move.
