Gillette Aristocrat Rhodium

Was doing my normal thing of wondering around the various eBay's, placing bids and forgetting about them, and although I'm primarily a straight razor shaver, I do like the occasional DE or SE shave, and I'm a big fan of the Gillette Aristocrats, so was a bit surprised when I awoke to find that I'd won this one from eBay France, guess this one went under the radar.

Excellent pick. The #66 is my favourite of the Aristocrats. In fact, it's my favourite DE razor full stop.

Agreed - I can count on one hand how many DE/SE shaves I have a year, took this one for a spin with a Gillette Blue (an old Swede), cleaned it up, and away it goes. When I really want to change things up, out it will come.

Still though, when the urge arises for other than a straight shave, still really like the Mongoose with a Feather Pro Guard blade, the Feather Pro's are a bit too harsh. Mind you, I find palm stropping the Feather prior to use mellows them out a tad.

It can happen. I got a #16 for below £50. Follow auctions with the convergence of poor photos, poor description and UK only postage for the best chance of a result.
