Does anyone know what this is please?

It looks like a hairy lettuce and just appeared in the garden a while ago.

I uploaded the picture into rhs.org.uk and it came back with:

Verbascum thapsus
lamb's wool

Verbascum phlomoides
woolly mullein

If you can, leave it in place, we had one last year grow to well over 6 feet in height, very impressive
