Forum etiquette

Been on a few months now, picked up a wealth of info and everyone has been sound to deal with. A small query, things sent as a pif, is it bad forum etiquette to then offer said item for a swap? Re-pif it? Dont want to step on anyones toes or offend anyone, just something ive wondered.

If the original pifee wants to move it on to another for free, ie pay it forward (pif) then that's all good imho, but to sell or trade it is a bit off colour tbh. Hope this helps.

I don't think it would be an issue to trade something that had been PIF'd, but to sell it wouldn't be great.

I suppose if you ok it with the person who sent it, then a trade would be ok, but it's kind of against the spirit of pifing stuff, but that's just my 2 bob's worth mate.

Beware.....the PIF police can call on you at any hour. They break down doors between 5am and 6am usually......

I have PIF’d a few things. The clue is in “PIF” Pass It Forward, something given for free that you pass on again for free. Even down to postage, I’d offer up postage money to receive, but personally I would never ask for it on a PIF I was giving. The whole PIF thing for me is quite unique, the thought of someone being kind enough is something very special to forums such as this. Well done gents !

If I received something as a PIF and didn’t get on with it I’d pass it on as another PIF, selling or trading it wouldn’t seem right.

Re-pif is ok, to profit from it in any way, including getting something else in trade would be wrong.
