It might well be. AFAIK, there was one made in 1930, 1979 and this latest from Netflix. In the version I get on Netflix all the dialogue is dubbed into English, so you are not trying to speed read subtitles. There are some subtitles, but they are easy to put up with or just plain ignore.

Read the book as a kid, saw the B and W film then the remake with Ernest Borgnine, will watch this too.

That looks really good, might have to persuade the Mrs to go to bed early so that I can watch it.
Just watched Greyhound and I think it is another worth a squint.

Thanks for the warning. Another one to be avoided like the plague.Think of it 2022 as a musical twist on Scrooge, but there's some good references to some other Xmas movies i.e. Elf and it's worth a watch
