Feather and Kai shaves

This thread prompted me to dig out my Feather Artist Club, unused for years. Fantastic shave with Super Professional blade but one pass only (my skin won't tolerate more, especially with a new blade).

Also found some guarded Feather blades which I used to use for shaving the back of my neck. Not sure why I stopped, safe way to shave 'sight unseen'.

Unused for years simply means you have some catching up to do :D Nice razor you have there. I’m impressed that you used the DX on the back of your neck. Props.

Trying out something new here. In all this time I’ve never used a balm after a splash until today. There’s a spot on my lower neck that has gotten a little irritated having shaved with the AC straight razor three days in a row. So after the scented splash I applied a little dab of B&M’s unscented balm, and it calmed down immediately. Great stuff btw, if you’ve never tried it. Comes highly recommended with the official chazt seal of approval.
SR shave today :hotdrink:

I have often wondered if the blades I leave lying about like the GEMs deteriorate for just sitting there. Maybe 🤔 a silly thought but I always imagine I'm losing sharpness 🙄
I am curious if rust/corrosion begins to form and obscure the edge due to oxygen and moisture being present post shave. If I use the blade the next day whatever corrosion has started is removed.
