Favourite handle style

What style of handle do you prefer? Personally I do not think you can beat a decent honest Bulldog. They look good, perform well and suit almost any head. Too many new razor makers are producing butt ugly handles these days. You can’t beat a Bulldog.

The handles I like best are the ones I just made from aluminium tube with brass inserts. I modelled them on the Wolfman Guerrilla. 59mmx16mm and 61g. That's perfect for my hands. I didn't add any knurling because I really like the feel of the plain handle and it's grippy enough for me. I made myself four and I could easily make some more if needed.

My favorite three handles.

Modern handles look like something a kid would make in shop class, tacky crap.

The Karve three inch in brass looks nice, but they would look even better at half the price.

I'm another fan of the bulldog. Mine is an Ikon Bulldog, matte finish and 85mm long. I have one of their polished versions which is 80mm and I prefer the slightly longer handle. I put a Gillette New Deluxe on there and it is one amazing shaver. I get consistently close and bloodless shaves with it.

Here are my two Bulldogs. I actually have a Razorock version which is 90mm. I don't use it very often.

Yes, for an all arounder the Bull Dog handle works well for me too. One of these day I'll pick up a clone of the Darwin handle because I think thay are aesthetically most pleasing.

I was trying to get an rfb and just missed one a few months ago on the bay. Right now I have another New Deluxe on the 80 mm bulldog but haven't used it yet. One of these days I'll get around to it. I've heard really good things about the rfb. Maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to snag one.

i will keep my eye out..the french 44 sets come up a lot..and the handle threads are usually quite worn so they are cheaper..
