Favorite Vegan Soap

I agree. Like you I don't seek out veggie soaps, I just want outstanding soaps and don't care if they are tallow or veggie and in my experience PAA CK-6 is the equal of B&M Omnibus tallow as is the non-tallow version of Omnibus
Omnibus is better than CK-6 Paul 😱😁

What are you talking about šŸ˜‘

Seriously now, Will Carius told me last year that he made Veggiebus just to show us that tallow isn't something exotic that boosts a soap's performance.

But if you ask me, I have way more soaps with tallow and full fat properties, than vegan ones.

Am I lunatic? Yessir

I also have more tallow soaps than non-tallow.

However, I suspect that’s only because the soap makers know if they exclude the tallow they’ll lose a whole load of customers who are prejudiced against non-tallow soaps. B&M have proved they don’t need tallow and yet still include it in all their soaps as a clearly unnecessary cost…

I honestly do not know if most Soap list Ingredients that are made off shore, as the labeling law in USA, are different ten say EU.

Soap, Croap, or Cream Performance is the thing that counts, not Animal v/s No Animal.

Going out to night to have Burrito & Taco, cannot decide between Pig, Chicken, or Beef, all are YUMMY. Will kill and bad effect with DROP DEAD HOT RED SALSA, not for people with no backbone.

With that said he also told me that he tried also to include duck fat, palm oil, sheep tallow...

The result was that nothing could beat the good ol' beef tallow. And if Will says that, I'm just a peasant for not listening to him.

How's the Speick soap since it was reformulated to remove the tallow? I know this happened a while ago but I still have most of a stick of the old stuff so haven't had to buy more.

I recently bought it.
It's a good soap, nothing more.
The scent is reminiscent of a medicine, an ointment for contractures: not very pleasant in my opinion.
Here in Italy, Speick costs almost 50 euros per kilo, while any Proraso tube costs just over 18 euros per kilo.
Proraso certainly doesn't excel in terms of fragrance, but in terms of mechanical properties, it's at the level of the German cream, if not better.
In my case, the choice is clear...
