My new iPhone keeps pestering me to set up facial recognition. I’m a bit reluctant as I’m not sure about it.

I use it. On the previous phone I used by thumb print. There are times when the phone does not recognize me, so I put in my pass code.My new iPhone keeps pestering me to set up facial recognition. I’m a bit reluctant as I’m not sure about it.

Watching murder mysteries where the police put the phone in front of the dead victim's face or use their thumb to open the phone is always interesting. It is interesting technology, but not a perfect security measure.I use it Steve for the reasons above. It's v easy and there's times my fingers are so cracked and dry that it won't recognise me. I also set it up on my Dad's phone so that he doesn't have to mess around with the code just look at it.
