Extro reviews are generally pretty hard to come across so I thought I'd start a thread that can provide a single point of reference for them. Happy for others to chip in with their experience as well.

I have a reasonable number of candidates to test:

Starting Monday, I will use each of these and report back here.

There's an added Boycie bonus though! I will also take you all on my journey with my new Blackbird which I will use for the duration of this endeavour.

I know this is exciting stuff, but don't let this thread distract you from getting on with your lives.

Wouldn’t happen to be British, would you? :wacky:

Looking forward to your review(s). Only have one Extro myself, the Eau Sauvage inspired one (senior moment here), and while it’s all right, doesn’t measure up to today’s best.

I do consider myself the quintessential British gentleman.

I believe the Eau Sauvage inspired one is the O'Selvaggio.

I'm not the best person to lead on that. Despite considering myself a person with normal skin, I've only ever used one US soap that didn't burn my skin so I'll end up being biased towards European soaps. I will try a couple of PAA soaps in the near future though to see if they're any better.

We're probably better off taking each soap type on its own merits - it's not like many of us would actually force ourselves to choose between US soaps and these - we'd just own them both :happy:

I rate Extro performance above B&M Glissant, Noble Otter & Summer Break Soaps (that's the main US soaps I have tried.) However the Extro scents can be hit & miss... Some are delightful whilst others are a strong synthetic mess.

Their best is bay rum IMO, tabacco is also very distinctive.

Now that is quality input! Fancy giving a couple of yours a go next week and reporting back? It can only help bolster the textual diarrhoea I'll provide.

I don't currently have any :blush:

I operate a strict policy to prevent any hoarding, if it's not my flavour of the month it's out on it's ear! I can dig out my old reviews I did and add them to the thread, I think I have one on both Tabacco & Freddo.

Would be good if you can share your old reviews. Maybe I can even inspire you to add a new Extro to your collection!

Forum GOD!
I have a good spread of US artisan soaps. But I am slowly moving away from the animal funk and high scents they use to mask it. Some of them are almost unusable in Indian summers with greasy post shave feeling.
Looking forward to more European soaps here.

Then which is the most acceptable scent you have tried?

I must grab one. The price here is about 13€.
