You can only pick one, so what’s your pick of the year, what has been that one single scent that has made your year ? Doesn’t matter if it’s not a new scent, just one you have discovered.

For me ?

Miller Harris Vetiver Insolent.

Absolutely loved it from the sample I received in a grooming box. It’s so long lasting it revives its self in the shower next morning. Fantastic Vetiver scent and worth every single penny.

Discovered "Creed Aventus" from my daughter's "copycat" scent business. I would NEVER have bought a scent with pineapple as a note, but it's absolutely stunning...

Miller Harris Feuilles De Tabac. A really nice rich spicy Tobacco with great longevity and sillage. People especially the Ladies really notice this one and enjoy it on a bloke. I have had lots of compliments from the Girls but it needs the cooler weather to really show it's best. It's not for warmer weather but Autumn on until middle of Spring it is wonderful.

It's the perfect detail & final touch to an awesome shave.

Miller Harris Feuilles De Tabac. A really nice rich spicy Tobacco with great longevity and sillage. People especially the Ladies really notice this one and enjoy it on a bloke. I have had lots of compliments from the Girls but it needs the cooler weather to really show it's best. It's not for warmer weather but Autumn on until middle of Spring it is wonderful.

It was a toss up for me between Vevitier Insolent and this one, both excellent scents.

This year I've been really enjoying Yves Saint Laurent - Opium Pour Homme, probably a bit better in the cooler and darker months than the summer but I really like this and often get questions asking what it is when wearing it.

The Warrior of Howling Fjord (by Ariana & Evans / The Club) ....... such a damn good scent, not to heavy but not to light either....just right.

Hmm, I’ve not discovered anything wowing yet but last year I tried Trumper’s Ajaccio Violets for the first time and was blown away. Hardly new and not particularly exotic for such heady climes as these but rather wonderful to me and Matron loved it too. S’all gone now and not one for winter so I’d still like to find something woody yet warming, complex yet familiar and reassuring, stately yet not pretentious and…nope, got no idea what that’ll mean for me. Alas, it wasn’t D R Harris Marlborough.
