Burn

Any recommendations?
I quite like the idea of the stick rather than the block.
I am nearing the end of a block of Gentleman Jon. I've had it for about 4 years now. I can't believe it's lasted this long. I only have a small piece left and am waiting until I can't hold it any longer. I have a block of Osma waiting to take over. I'd go with the Osma. It comes from France. If I had known the Gentleman Jon was made in China I would not have bought it. Go for the Osma. Lots of people love it.

My guess will be the wrong angle.
You remind me many years ago. I couldn't shave properly on the neck area.

Don't insist on the same areas.
Don't chase the perfect shave.

You may want to try a more aggressive razor, but from what I read it is possible to cut harder yourself.

I suggest even more light hand and watch carefully when you lose the angle. You have razor burn in the same area because you approach the hairs from the wrong angle or the hair there is not short enough to be cut properly.

Gillette Silver Blue will be your friend in this case. Avoid Feather, the king of harshness, I don't really get that hype around this blade. It is insane.

Oh and a thought for the neck. Try to stretch the skin in this specific area and lay the razor VERY lightly and take the hairs at once. Don't go over there more than one time.

Bought a fatip to try and just bought aloe vera, an alum block and some silver blue blades:D
You'll like the Gillette Silver Blues. My favorite blade along with Polsilver SI. And the Fatip gets good reviews. I bought the Schone Open Comb which is made for Schone by Fatip and I've heard the shave is as efficient but smoother. You'll get it. There is a long learning curve to get to that perfect shave. And part of the fun in all this is the journey getting there.

If it is the Grande, he will tear his face apart in a moment.. You know that.

But there is a solution. To use the old formula of Maca Root, a slick as ice cream and let the gods of wet shave be with him.

Really? The OC Fatip head is very efficient but buttery smooth and user friendly, never had a problem with mine, and it's the early one.
This is impressive. With the wrong angle, the Grande, Fatip, not Ariana, will irritate the skin even if it is the v2 like mine. Requests really light touch like @MntnMan62 said.

Guess I'm just a tough old coot, I use a normal amount of pressure, like I do with an OLD or a Tech.
