I have one and it’s the priciest brush in my cete of 27 badgers. I love the look of it and the feel of the knot. To me it’s the nicest looking Persian Jar handle I’ve seen and is really enhanced by the grain of the faux ivory.Rooney 2/1 Ivory Finest (22/56)
I would agree about it being one of the best Persian Jar versions.
That is almost obscene! I have not seen such splay ... is it a venerable age? My SOC is still quite tight bristle-wise.
Although the brush is of some age, it hasn't been used much.
Mine looks the same as the one pictured, quite a large splay. Typical Semogue, due to the type of conical glue plug they use.
My brush is still a young pup at the moment and doesn't get much use and I do dry on a towel but with extreme vigour!Although the brush is of some age, it hasn't been used much.
Maybe it's the way I dry it out, sometimes I help it dry by smoothly brushing it on a towel
...or I was just lucky and got a knot a bit more dense than yours...
I discovered this conical aspect of the Semogue knots a few years ago when I had a 2000. I really liked the handle but not the knot as it was too greedy (now of course I know that I was being overly frugal with the soap) and I gave it a haircut. I like the metal collar so I removed the remaining bristles only to discover that there was no way I could use it with the conical collar. Bin got fed.
