Hi there,
I would like to present to you the prototype in progress in my workshop.
Here are the features I wanted:
- increased shaving speed
- Controlled softness
AC blades provide a large cutting surface and ideal rigidity. A huge opening will allow a large evacuation of the foam while increasing the efficiency of the razor.

Wow
The extreme curve of the head gives this a unique aesthetic as does the idea of a yellow metal for the head and I can’t imagine clogging being a problem at all.

Overall I think it looks very attractive but it does look too heavy for my tastes (>100g)

Is there a particular reason to have the lather slot split in two?

That looks very nice. It also looks quite aggressive with the blade gap and semi-open comb bar?

Very nice indeed! The head looks like it will be heavier on one side and will be inclined to tip to the side on the slim handle in the pics above. To improve control, I would suggest a thicker but nevertheless light handle (hollow SS or titanium).

A big advantage of AC type razors is the small head, compared to a DE razor. From the pictures, It seems this advantage is missing, in other words, the head seems way to big for such a nimble blade? And what about the weight of the razor, any ideas there?

The Mongoose and the ATT S1 also have big heads, they even seem bigger than this one...?

So was the Colonial Razors General, but you'll also note that these are older contemporary SE razors at this point, and there were a few more compact designs released after these.

I see your point, but as far as i remember reading about them, they were well regarded, right? Btw. this design here reminds me most of the General and S1.

Sure they were, but the original point was that the blade size should allow the head to be smaller, thus easier to use in tighter spots, not whether a large head would or would not make for an overall decent shaver.

I agree, I owned both the General and a ATT SE1. Both were sold, I kept the Vector SS because of it’s smaller head and very nice weight and balance!
