Thanks for organising this Andreas great piece of kit to try out. I have missed tow possible DHL deliveries but am home tomorrow, not sure of their procedure but hope they try again tomorrow.

spoke to them this afternoon will be delivered tomorrow, perfect timing. I originally mentally agreed with myself and my AD that I would sell either the Asylum or the SE1 and SE2 together. Typical that I now don't want to sell either as well as liking DE razors too. In other words I'm just accepting that I like more razors and more blades. On the hunt for a money tree, preferably with stubble.

Interested in your thoughts on these. Unusual feeling & sound, but they do shave without irritation. Not as close as the Pro-Guard, but I guess that's the point.

I have only used these in the El Jefe & I will try these in the RX next time.

Just tried them in the RR Hawk. I'm pretty surprised at how well they shave, I couldn't tell they were "guarded", they don't have the initial harshness of the Pro and from the first shave appear to shave as close. It will be interesting to see if it is the same in the Asylum...

First shave with the Asylum.
"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", I just can't decide if I like the look of it:unsure:
It is very well machined and the way the head fits together is very precise. :cool:
I started out with a Feather Softguard which worked really well in Hawk, It does not work very well in the Asylum, for me anyway! You could fell it pulling every single hair:cursing:.
So I swapped in a Feather Pro and it was a a complete change. Simply glided through the stubble. However, I find the Pro a harsh blade and whilst I am extremely clean shaven my face is kinda tender feeling... This is not a reflection on the razor, just the blade. I missed a couple of patches under my nose, I guess I jsut need to get used the the size of the head.
First shave in, I would not buy one. The Hawk does the same at $20.
