I new it had to be a colour issue. I personally only repurchase after a minimum of two weeks — days is setting some kind of record!

I noticed the, from the photo, seeming difference between them as well and indeed, the 28 looks better.

Was told the 26 would fit a 26.5 hole, but no... Need to get a rotary tool and your praised 115 bit.

Noooooo! Don't use the 115 on the socket. It's purely for removing the old knot and glue, it's really aggressive. Use a sanding drum on low speed for opening up the socket @halvor
