Picked up some of the Aldi EDTs to give them a try. Reviews seem reasonably positive and all 3 of these were £20
- Masculine Eau De Toilette inspired by Jean Paul Gaultier - Le Male
- Steel Eau De Toilette inspired by Le Male by Abercrombie & Fitch - Fierce
- L’Eau Eau De Toilette inspired by Armani - Acqua di Gio
I've no experience of the official scents but these smell nice based on first sprays.

Like all Simpsons it's more of a painter, but it does splay, however with the backbone it stops it compared to other brushes but I'll get a better idea once I use tonight or tomorrow.

Just had a shave with it.
Does it splay? Absolutely, much more than other Simpson brushes, once it's wet and you've lathered there was no problem with the splay. It's a really nice and dense knot as well.
It's not as good as the other Simpson synthetics though, but for £20 I'm pretty happy with it.

A Defender cartridge razor. I'm going to give it a try once, and if it shaves reasonably well, I'll use it for travel once we can go on trips again.

Oumo chubby style shave brush in 26mm SHD Machuria badge and a couple of random brushes from the bay
Might look at purchasing a few more artisanal soaps from British makers, try and help them in a small way at this time

Used the L'Eau today and it had good staying power. Wife could still smell it after 6 hours and I can still smell it on me (lightly) 12 hours later. Nice scent as well - always a good thing as I don't want to smell crap for 12 hours.
Is this the Spicy Sangria?
I’m facing lengthy waits too, seems to be norm now.

Haha, I have had Sangria last time 9 years ago when I was in Mallorca … So I can confirm it smells like fruity (mainly red berries) cocktail or perhaps Sangria without alcohol … I like this scent though.
