Always enhoyed a game of darts and just got a new board for the Summer house.

The kit came with some 20g steel darts which do the job for now, but I've already started looking for a better, slightly heavier set.

But, I did not realise how expensive darts are! Mind blown! :D

I've had a board for years and throw on a regular basis, Can be another rabbit hole unless you can find a local shop with a board set up to try before you buy. I learnt this the hard way and bought at least 15 sets of barrels over the years in different shapes and weights before settling on my current set.

Looking at the site posted by @Northam Saint - there’s a brand named Razor Edge Original - surely these are the ones for you. I’d go at least 24 gm and at £20 they will not break the bank.

Have a look for Red Dragon Darts Lee, they are not expensive but good quality tungsten darts. I'm certain you will find a set for life that suits you mate. Check out the sale item section, you'll pick up a set for around £20- £25

I've ordered a set of barrels at 28 gram (£15) and I'll probably order a set of the recommended Red Dragon at 24gs, should keep me busy!
Now the summer house is finished we can start using it more. Shame winter is knocking on the door! :D

Darts are a minefield
Apart from Professionals that play with extremely light ( not all off course ) but the 20grams that came with your board will be gash.
Cheap, not sharp, not grippy & generally made as a freebie.
Don’t buy yourself a new set until you know what you like.
ebay has plenty second hand darts at different weights.
i would suggest starting with 24-28 grams and take it from there.
Also stems & flights are a big deal.
The length of the stem & shape of the flight makes a huge difference.
Depending on the length of your dart would determine the length of my stem.
Buy an array of flights in all shapes to see what suits your throw.
I Personally throw 26grams and love it.
My Company of Choice is Target but again it’s a personal thing,
Harrows do great darts as well.
As stated above red dragon are decent.

Yeah, already realised that Darts are a minefield/rabbit hole! Got some Red Dragon Raider 23g coming too, with 2 sets of shafts and flights.
At least I'll know what sorta weight I prefer, then I'll look at shafts and flights...

When I was a kid we were not allowed fireworks on bonfire night, instead we got a present. One year my brother and I were given a dartboard. When collecting the arrows I had thrown, my older brother proceeded to chuck two darts in my back, not really played since!

Without blowing my own trumpet the only thing stopping me being a decent dart player, to my shame, was my inability at Maths.
I could never subtract the scores while chalking, I had to add them and then someone else told me what was left at finish time. no problem hitting the numbers, I just couldn't score.
In my time I have beaten Bobby George and few others, Cliff Lazarenko, I think that's his name.
There was a Dart Pub in Romford called the Double Top. I worked away there once and beat them in there.

I can relate to that Wayne I joined a local team a few years back and found it a nightmare to keep up with some of the faster players while chalking. They would throw so quick I'd still be working out the last score while the next players pulling his darts out.
