Acquisitions June 2026.

Maggard synthetic knot just arrived.

The first Muhle brush I bought was really weird. Tall, misshaped, and unpleasant. I have several STF brushes and those have been my baseline for a while. I like them. Thought I’d try my hand at a swap. I got this knot because it was cheap and I liked the color. Planning to use silicone so I can swap it in the future when I’m smarter, or just older.

Mr Hairy Cheesy, I do NOT have a single Chinese razors or blades in my bloody den.
That proud stance works fine, provided you have the courage of your convictions and won't allow anything made in China into your life (even if it is made in China for a non Chinese brand) ?

.... Thought so.

The reality is that China / Asia has been the world's factory for many decades and we have all bought "Western" goods that have a tiny "Made in China" sticker hidden somewhere.

Personally, I have bought really high quality Chinese goods, made and sold by Chinese brands and I don't believe that in doing so I am contributing to the decline of the West.

PS I bought a Yaqi Sagrada Familia brush this month an it's been brilliant.
