I've been wanting to get my mitts on one of these for so long and here's why: I'm a great fan of the Merkur 45c Bakelite razor. The Baby Smooth is identical but built from CNC machined billet and rod 6061 aluminium. It’s finished with a black anodized coating to protect the aluminium from oxidation. It's mild to medium aggressive, light, nimble and ideal for daily shaving of sensitive skin types.

The head is a unique design which curves the blade like no other I've seen. Here's the Baby Smooth and the Bakelite Merkur 45c side by side.

Wow looking at the two Thater knots, the ivory is pure white tipped, I can see some black hairs in the LE, this is obviously pre use/bloom. Interested to hear what you think of the LE brush.

I received this Rod Neep brush I purchased from another forums BST. A 24mm silvertip made by Rod Neep, I have an inclination it is #1810 - Short Retro Deluxe - Briar Burl Resin & Dragon, but looking at the price I paid for it, surely not! I only paid £27. I either got a good bargain or I'm looking at the wrong brush. Whatever it is I like it because of the Welsh Dragon on the collar, a patriotic brush

Very nice.. I'm interested to know how you find the RazoRock synthetic? I think the knot is the same as the Gamechanger aka Boss knot.

Test lather with Nivea "Originals" shave cream (tube, contemporary, GR spec) earlier on today, loft is 54-55mm yet bristles seem a tad inflexible.
Pretty easy to lather of course, knot splits (during lathering) may be a bit more than the Plissoft one - or perhaps the density is slightly less than I had expected.

Very preliminary comments all these. This butterscotch "Rubberset 400" type handle is, I believe, a tiny size smaller than the Shavemac/ATG (or TSR) ones.
Brush now comes also with Finest and Silvertip hair options, in the Italian Barber website.

I know I gave it it's own thread, but I managed to bag a mint Ever-Ready "Double Special" circa 1909 - strop, stropper and brass/gold 1909 patent Ever-Ready razor; the very patent that was picked up again in 1924 and released as the razor we know as the Shovel Head, or simply: the 1924.







VERY pleased :D

Just arrived. Took a chance on a multi buy, no good photos . quite pleased with what I got.

1. PAL Injecto Matic. VGC and box pristine. Anyone after one , will sell .

2 Ever Ready Chrome Razor "Streamline" . pretty good Shaver Grade with scratches no plate loss.

3 Gillette TTO made in England. TTO mech needs loosening.

Wow.. that's a great haul Mike. Someone should buy your Pal Injecto Matic. It's a great razor as is the ER Streamline. :thumbsup:
