The knot is TGN 28mm Silvertip. I shall be giving it a couple of test lathers later.

I've just got lucky and snagged Purbecks Mongoose B3. Thanks Mark. That's it. I'm buying no more razors, that includes the Timeless.

All the way from Argentina, my first fatboy. Very happy as there is no plating loss, doors open perfectly and that last 1/4 turn is just right. In fact seems barely used.

I'm guessing the blade holder (and blades within) are not original as they have made in Argentina on them, yet the fatboy and case is made in USA. No idea if they made any fatboys outside the US @PLANofMAN ?

Excuse me jumping in @flobberdob but I queried this very topic with Gillette (Procter & Gamble) who confirmed categorically that Gillette Fatboys (in fact all the adjustable razors) were only made in the US, as were the cases.

Beautiful catch, by the way. Some interesting stuff coming out from Argentina but that's the best I've seen.

Thanks Chris, £47 and a few pence with free postage which I thought was not to bad in this day and age for a fatboy. It's a shame razors can't talk as it would be interesting to learn of it's journey from the US to Argentina.

Did you by any chance ask if the fatboy was sold in other markets apart from the US?
