If anyone keeps up with my shave of the day posts, they will notice I use a variety of blade holders and straight razors.
Ironically, I find I can get the same result regardless of the tool and I am a whole face shaver. Anyway, all this says that skin sensitivity aside, I do think beard mapping to be more important than tool used so that if the blade is properly honed for shaving, the skill and mapping determines the result.
