Definitely worth pursuing @Darkbulb, very interesting proposition. Be great to try out some of the old designs that you cannot (at a reasonable expense) get hold of. Some of the old double slants, Trumpf etc..

My buddy even let me know about a local place that do CNC machining for one offs in aluminum or stainless steel. Way more expensive of course.

You could always just counterfeit Gillette Toggles, Bottom Dials, etc. with a 3D printer and sell them on eBay. 1,000 razors at 500 dollars per razor = You would make a fortune! You could really go hog wild and create a Gillette bottom-dial barber pole toggle with rhodium plating. EBay would collecively soil its shorts if it ever saw one of those offered for auction.
