3 day challenge

Hi all
Had a really crap shave earlier this week. Not concentrating with the super sharp Bic blades. Tiired and shouldn’t have bothered. Blades soooo very sharp I didn’t realise I’d cut myself 3 times until I was into alum and splash (ouch but not terrible).
Next morning my upper lip looked like I’d had a fight with a very small hawk or tiger. Mid chin was teeny tiny samurai battle. Nothing even worth worrying about but no shave possible for 48 hours without just attracting vampires. Ha ha.
Today, 72 hours minimum, I’m fine for shower and shave later.
Really looking forward to it. Cartridge me was fine with 4 days growth as shave was no better or worse than day 2.
Anyone got any tips or experience with a 3 day rough growth. Bard grows quick and I’d put myself at 30% papa Smurf for the 80’s fans out there.
Not done this since switching to de. cartridge me it would have been a drag and scrape nightmare but endured to clean up.

If you still have marks from last shave try not to pursuit perfection this time and try to achieve nice and clean shave to leave room for the skin to heal completely.

Pre shave
Face leather with a good soap
Mild razor / blade ( bic are not for everyone )
No alcol AS

In my experience a DE will handle three days’ growth much easier than a cartridge.

Did pre shave oil. Tabac and plenty of lather. Slow 3 pass shave. Alum and after shave.

Sorry disagree. They work beautifully for me. Sharp as F. Smooth. Plus, due to liking them, I bought 100.

If you have some other blades, try those in the Outlaw as well. If the Bics are the only blades you have, find a sampler pack on tryablade.com or razorbladesclub.com and find a blade that suits you. The Bics won't go anywhere, you'll be able to get back to them in a month or few months. It's not uncommon that the same blades don't suit everyone in the same razor, or that some blades don't suit everyone from the start but they find them great later on, after their technique improves or their skin gets used to DE wetshaving.

Just my experience. If I put a new Astra SP into the Barbasol Floating Head, I really need to be careful. I will more likely cause blood to flow than when I use a straight razor. If I put that same blade into a Schick Krona, which I have done just to experiment, no nicking.

Then don't put a Kai i the Floating head under ANY circumstances...!
