I know it’s just a Macdonalds Apple Pie. BUT ! Some of my students went to Macdonalds last week. I jokingly said where’s my Apple pie. Today they arrive with one. Bless them, made my day !

The students are why I am there and they make the job so very rewarding. However the crap in the background is what spoils the job along with the pressures of under staffing. These are new students and only three weeks in, that means a lot to me knowing they think well of me. As I have posted on the mental health thread I have been struggling, and of course the students don’t know this. But this kind gesture today has made me feel good. Part of my problem of late is rooted in the fact I do care how well they do and I see barriers to their success.
