Ordering from outside the UK

If I order something from APShaveco for the value of £30, will I pay any duties/VAT?

I'm confused because the £135 threshold applies to packages from one individual to another, not from a company.

If the label states apshaveco, I'm worried the package will get caught!

If your unlucky Royal Mail sometimes add a handling fee. I've ordered a few pairs of surfboard fins over the years from the USA, some have arrived fine with zero handling fees, some have arrived with a fee. Royal mail just post a note through your door saying a parcel is ready to collect but has handling fees. I think last time I got charged it was with £6 or £8 can't remember exactly. Value of the fins was less than £50.

International packages marked on the declaration as commercial have a £135 allowance. It's assumed that the VAT has been collected by the overseas vendor in accordance with the changes made, a couple of years back. You won't be charged. The GIFT allowance still remains at £39, so it's vital for higher value purchases to now be marked in the true commercial fashion unless the vendor is obliging in using the gift option, but with a lower value.

I thought the same when I ordered from karve. I'd put off buying stuff from further afield than europe. The threshhold is £135 at that point you risk VAT and a handling fee.
