A friend of mine is being posted to Delhi, India. And i'm planning on visiting her this year. I'll be taking a small supply of shaving gear with me but besides hoping to pick up some Ingrams / Alum Blocks / DE blades. What else should i keep an eye out for?

If you like keen blades then look out for Indian 7 O'clock super platinum (keenest after Feathers) or these

You can try other known brand blades too but unfortunately, top of the heap are these 2 i have mentioned and pricy ones in Indian spending context.
Local Old Spice tubes in 3 variants, Parker razors for domestic market (though, at best they are pants). Godrej old stock tubes (with linalool).
Yardley London shave cream and Aftershave splash, 2 variants but stay away from 'Gold' if you don't like hippie vibes from patchouli.
Dettol shaving cream in classic and cool versions. Cheap as chips Vicco turmeric cream.
If you like bath soaps and feeling expensive then you cant try this

Back in 2005 I remember these having 3% mysore sandalwood oil by volume during production. Now it just smell like a nice cedarwood to me. For the price, these are closest to real deal without hurting your wallet

If you do use a talcum powder in this day, I can say with confidence there aren't many sandalwood scents in talcs that can come anywhere near this hidden gem here

Don't try to hunt for Indian shaving soaps, they are all just coloured glycerin soaps with some perfume.
look out for places like these
https://lbb.in/delhi/this-delightful-flea-market-in-c6a26e/ for shaving bowls or small ceramic bowls retailing at around $2 (though they will never understand what is the real purpose of acquisition even if you tell them) and usually whatever is on display is the whole shop stock, so look around with a keen eye whilst you are at it.
