I could have used a 60 year old Porsche for an example. In the past 2-3 years, i have driven a 197? Fiat 124 Spyder and 196? Porsche 356. Enjoyable driving for 5 miles. My street rodding/drag racing days are over including my love (tolerance ?) of a mechanical heavy duty clutch and manual steering (I did develop a strong left leg and strong arms)

In terms of vintage, I would consider a reasonably priced Fiat 124 or Gillette Rocket. At a higher price point, I would buy new.

FYI - my E-Type would be British Racing Green and from the 1960's. If I win the lottery, I would consider along with some modern muscle.

When ever I got it to 65mph, usually down a hill it would shudder like crazy.
I once made the mistake of engaging Third gear, instead of First whilst starting on a steep hill, she still rose to the challenge.
