Just got this in about a week and a half ago and have only put in about half a dozen shave or so but, I will say that this razor has performed much better than I had anticipated and honestly, it shaves superbly. I will put in some more shaves as the bulk of my shaves have been with the more aggressive side of the base plate (which is totally not harsh or intimidating but, extremely easy on the skin while downright vicous on the whiskers) and only once with the Mild side.
A couple pics below to give an idea what I’m working with here. I will say that the additional plate is an extra that I believe was not needed as this could have been remedied by simply machining cut outs or indentations on the underside of the top cap to accommodate the base plate sizing while eliminating the extra weight of the adjustment plate. It works however and does what it was intended to do. I simply would have preferred the aforementioned work around and eliminated the extra weight plus diminish the overall height of the assembled head.
