Hi guys
I have a quick question: I have a Shobudani Jnat and have had some very good results using a DMT card to raise initial slurry (maybe a couple of iterations - honing for a bit and refreshing the slurry a couple of times), followed by a Tomo (actually a piece cut from the same stone) to finish off on. For both I would introduce a bit of dilution as I go along. Rather than finishing on water, I like a little bit of (dilute) slurry at the end as I seem to get a bit of skipping in the razor on the stone otherwise.
Question is, is this really the correct approach, or should I just stick with the Tomo (or even DMT) alone? Or maybe, is it a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"?
Cheers
Duncan
