Alpha Spirit SE gains some stablemates. Ti & Bronze…

I think the Alpha Spirit SE in Stainless is one of the best razors to come out of the 2024 shave season. Nimble, smooth on the skin yet very efficient & effective on the whiskers while being intuitive and supremely easy to use. Well, the Stainless version got a couple of mates added to the team. One in Titanium & the other in Bronze. Will the shaves be any different from the original Stainless Steel version? Maybe, maybe not but, for the price and quality of alloy that Steve at Alpha is bringing to the table, it’s worth taking a shot on them. I haven’t been disappointed so far from any of their offerings that I’ve acquired as of yet.

I think the SS is beautifully balanced so I’m not sure about the Ti as it might be too light, but the Bronze is

Wasn’t expecting this kit for a couple more days but, the Bronze Spirit showed up at my doorstep earlier today. My pics don’t do it justice on how beautiful the Bronze is and how well it shines. Excellent work by Steve over at Alpha Shave Works. I’m still in the honeymoon phase with the Copper D-back but, this will be next in a few shaves. Shouldn’t be much different if at all compared to the Stainless version. We’ll see in a few days…

Two shaves in with this kit and honestly, just as good as the Stainless version with maybe a bit more warmth and smoother feel on skin. Splitting hairs here as the Stainless Spirit is a phenomenal shaver that is both smooth & deceptively efficient. Same goes for its Bronze brother as it carries the same qualities while delivering nearly the exact same shave. Results are superb and that’s all that matters. And for me, it edges out the Stainless version on aesthetics as I love a nice bronze razor. Alpha brought home the Bacon.

Such a pleasure to use the SS Spirit with the feather Pro Super. Still is easy on the skin while completely annihilating the whiskers at every stroke. Just a superb shaver, period.

Good as it gets. The Spirit & Pro Super are such a good combination together. Efficiency of shave whike not compromising an iota of smoothness & feel on the skin. No harshness or aggressive feel in the least. The Spirit does a marvelous job of toning down that bitey type of feel to near zero. Just a wonderful shaver.

What angle do you use with the Spirit? A steeper one? Or shallow?

I love the shaves from it, but I'm struggling a bit on my chin and dewlap zone, I had to do multiple strokes and get some irritation or weepers, in daily shaves. If I shave 2 or more days of growth, I usually do not have any issues.

I have sensitive skin, and I have tried Kai Pink, Kai original and Feather Pro. I think my favorite is the Pink.

Had a perfect shave today with a fresh Kai Captain Titan Mild Pro-Touch MG. With the guarded blade, this razor is magic. You can do anything without irritation or blood. Just perfection. Now I need to master my technique with unguarded blades in my chin.

The shave was total perfection from start to finish. The Spirit & Feather combo specifically with the Pro Super is just on another level of shave performance. Still, the Spirit manages to keep this blade docile and super comfortable to use as the feeling on skin is light yet very effective at removing the whiskers with ease. Excellent combination these two for me….
