He often has a lot more available (purple, haze, disco, amber, lime, ect) so I'm never sure why he doesn't list them in the configurator section.
I quite like the red dragon, myself.:)
When I ordered my Disco he didn’t have that on the configuration bit or the link to others in that configuration page. I’m liking that Red Dragon too.

No it isn’t. Shavemacs are nice but they aren’t £150 better. Sorry, they aren’t.
Although I haven't tried the Yaqi I very much doubt I could argue with @Wayne's comments. If value for money is a factor for you, then paying any more than these good Chinese imports is bound to be a waste of money.

On the flip-side my favourite brush to use is a Simpson's silvertip chubby 2.... I am well aware that there is no way this is worth the extra money. ..... But do i regret buying it... No. Would I buy it again if I lost it.... Yes.

Ultimately the small difference do add up for me, but don't for others. It may be worth trying a second hand one first, to see what you think?

but that statement means it IS worth the extra money for YOU.

I'm in the same position of Shavemacs over all the cheaper Chinese badger brushes I've tried, but appreciate this is the same opinion as @Wayne

hmmm struggling to explain.... Wish I hadn't started. lol.

I am well aware its not worth 4/5 (more??) times more than the cheaper brush, but I'm ok with that as its better for me, and that was the price, and I could afford it. I'm still aware its not value for money, but I prefer it.

As Plutonius said, "An item is worth only what someone is willing to pay for it." If that is the bar, then Shavemacs are worth every penny.

If what you're saying wasn't true we'd all be driving Dacia and no-one would buy a Mercedes.

If you want an indulgent Badger Brush then the top of the range producers, Shavemac, Paladin, Simpsons, Morris and Fordran etc make great brushes, no doubt in my mind there. It really depends on your pocket. Some have deeper pockets than others and their perception of value for money is based upon that depth. I still own Two great Shavemacs and Two lovely SV brushes but I wouldn't buy them again. I now prefer synthetics and no longer have the appetite for high end Badger brushes.
