Also had an Accord in the early 80s, a 1600 automatic. I did 50,000 , miles in the first year then sold it to a friend, he ran it to 100,000 over the next three years, he sold it to his brother, the car has 260,000 with no work done to the engine or gearbox. I stressed to the the buyers that frequent oil changes were essential, we used Mobil 1 every 5000 miles.1982 Honda Accord...I loved that car and drove it until it quit. I think it had over 250K miles on it, no joke.View attachment 57877
I had a friend in the late 60’s and early 70’s that used to buy old Packards and Studebakers. He'd drive them till they dropped then get another. They were cheap.....THEN!View attachment 60919
My first car I bought for $10. The 1959 Fury with 361 wedge hemi & push button 3sp on the dash.
I saw one go across auction for $75,000 last year. I traded mine for 1966 Chevy Chevelle super sport, which I traded in for a 1969 Dodge Charger.
All when I was 15-16 years old.
