Who uses a pasted strop?

I don't at the moment, but I was wondering the other day whether I should try out CrOx as a final step after the JNAT. I did the balsa/diamond paste thing for a while but I found it a bit hit or miss. Easy to make a mistake (pressure, too many laps) and not a very comfortable edge, albeit very sharp. At the moment I am just doing JNAT with slurries and stropping on unpasted linen and leather, with the occasional use of poly webbing. I am just amazed at how well fabric strops can bring back a dulling edge.
You could use one side of your fabric strops with just a few ‘X’ marks in CrOx applied to the surface. I don’t imagine that this would bleed through or otherwise contaminate the other surface.
