This is on the driver’s door in my wife’s Kuga, for the life of me I can’t work out what it’s for. Does anyone know?

When you exit the vehicle does it ask about setting the security level?

Pressing it results in a message popping up saying “Interior scan deactivated” which to be honest doesn’t help much.

It doesn’t ask anything generally, I just open the door and get out.

Think it is if you have a left a pet in the car so it doesn't set the alarm off

She has had it put in ! It sends out gamma rays to stop you purchasing shaving goodies. At the mere mention she hits it and you forget !

Yes. There is an entry for driver's door buttons and it covers the obvious things like the window controls but there's no mention of this one.

Turns off interior alarm sensors, for example if you were to leave your dog in the car... As suggested above...
